No. Every Obelisk role is remote from your home country. You are engaged and paid directly by Obelisk — no visa, no relocation, and no cross-border paperwork on your side. You work from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon or elsewhere in the Middle East while collaborating daily with a Canadian team.

You keep your local time zone. Talent works a shifted afternoon-to-evening schedule (roughly 2pm–10pm in Cairo), which creates 6–7 hours of real-time overlap with Canadian Eastern business hours — your afternoon covers the client's morning standup block, and your evening is free for focused deep work.

You are engaged as a dedicated, full-time professional, contracted and paid directly by Obelisk — we handle the payroll and HR side. Compensation is agreed up front, competitive with local market bands, and paid monthly in USD or local currency per your agreement.

No, never. Joining the Obelisk network and getting placed with a client is 100% free for talent. We do not charge placement fees, membership fees, or deduct platform commissions from your agreed rate.

You will work directly with Canadian small and mid-sized businesses, venture-backed tech startups, and high-growth digital agencies. You embed into their team just like an internal hire — joining daily standups, collaborating on Slack, and working on primary product codebases and campaigns.
